The Turf Branch Institute under the State Academy of Sciences in the DPRK has recently bred new species of turfs which are highly resistant to cold, drought, disease and shade.
The new species are originated from locally plants and cost low in cultivation and their technical indices reach the advanced level, said Jang Yong Il, a section chief of the institute.
