The National Symphony Orchestra staged a special concert at the Moranbong Theatre on April 15th, in commemoration of the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The event was graced by the presence of Choe Ryong Hae, a member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, who is also the first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly. The audience included other high-ranking Party and government officials, ministry representatives, national agency members, municipal-level institution officials, and labor innovators.

The concert opened with the evocative overture “Song of Mangyongdae,” a tribute to President Kim Il Sung’s monumental role in ending national distress and ushering in an era of independence. Through their performances, the orchestra highlighted the undying legacy of the President, who elevated the dignity and glory of the country and its people on the global stage.

Throughout the evening, the audience was captivated by musical numbers that resonated with Kim Il Sung’s unwavering love for his people. The melodies served as a heartfelt reminder of the President’s profound affection for the nation, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of its citizens.

The concert was not just a musical event but also a demonstration of the revolutionary spirit of the DPRK’s people. It aimed to inspire and unify everyone in accelerating the implementation of decisions made at the Eighth Congress of the Party and subsequent plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee.

The evening concluded with the stirring orchestral piece “We Will Go along Road of Loyalty,” leaving the audience with a renewed sense of unity and commitment to the Party’s directives.
