The people and service personnel across the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) celebrated the 112th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung with significant reverence and festivities.

Citizens from all walks of life, including officials, working people, service personnel, school youth, and children, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the revered mausoleum of Juche ideology, where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are enshrined. They also paid respects at statues of the two leaders across the nation.

At President Kim Il Sung’s birthplace in Mangyongdae, visitors were deeply moved by the enduring spirit of patriotism and love for the nation and its people, passed down through generations of the President’s family.

Revolutionary school students, primary school pupils, and children nationwide received gifts from the Workers’ Party of Korea in celebration of the April spring holiday, reflecting the Party’s benevolent love.

Photo exhibitions held in various provinces and municipalities showcased the achievements and legacy of the great leaders, evoking deep respect and admiration.

National flags of the DPRK adorned major landmarks in Pyongyang, provincial seats, cities, counties, institutions, enterprises, factories, and farms, enhancing the festive spirit.

Colorful art performances entertained audiences in Pyongyang and other regions, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.

A women’s volleyball match between Pyongyang Team and Kigwancha Team took place at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium, while sports and amusement games were organized throughout the country.

Citizens, including working people and school youth, enjoyed leisure time at attractions like the Central Zoo and the People’s Open-Air Ice Rink.

Public catering establishments, including Okryu Restaurant, Chongryu Restaurant, and Sinhung Restaurant, across the country served special holiday dishes, delighting the people and adding to the festive mood. –
