Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected the work of the agricultural field in South Hwanghae Province.
Looking round farms in Pongchon, Paechon, Yonan, Chongdan, Pyoksong and Sinchon counties bustling with the struggle for successfully concluding this year’s farming, he called for threshing, drying and storing minutely so as not to lose even a grain, and for pushing forward the preparations for next year’s farming in a foresighted way.
He stressed the need to increase the areas for cultivating wheat and barley, positively introduce advanced farming methods and thus decisively raise the per-hectare yield, bearing in mind that an important reserve for agricultural development of the country and increased grain production lies in thoroughly carrying out the tasks set forth before the agricultural field in the administrative policy of the government of the Republic.
The field consultative meetings discussed the issue for officials in the agricultural field of South Hwanghae Province holding an important share in the grain production of the country, to fulfill their responsibility and role, the issue of further raising the zeal of agricultural workers for production, the issue of giving priority to taking material and technological measures to operate farm machines like combine rice harvester and mobile rice thresher at full capacity, the issue of sharing and disseminating the experience of bumper croppers, etc.
Earlier, the premier inspected the Sunchon Cement Complex and the construction site for the project for the establishment of C-1 chemical industry, and took relevant measures.
