A national meeting took place at the People’s Palace of Culture Wednesday to mark the 129th May Day, the international holiday of the working people in the world.
Present there were members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea Choe Hwi, vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Thae Hyong Chol, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, and Kim Nung O, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, officials of working people’s organizations, ministries and national institutions, officials and working people of institutions and industrial establishments in the city and overseas compatriots.
Present there on invitation were members of foreign embassies and international bodies and military attaches here.
