Dr. Kim Kwang Hyon, a dedicated researcher at the Physics Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, lives by the belief that there is no finish line on the road of research – a motto that has defined his life’s work.

From his early 20s during university days, Dr. Kim garnered attention in scientific circles, recognized as a promising scientist. His journey accelerated as he developed a high-precision measuring technique, securing his first patent at the age of 26 and earning his doctorate at 35 in 2014.

In 2015, he was elected a member of the Youth Society of the World Academy of Sciences and the International Theoretical Physics Centre, solidifying his standing in the global scientific community.

A graduate of the University of Sciences with a focus on laser engineering, Dr. Kim’s contributions between 2005 and 2015 included tens of inventions and over 100 treatises. His notable work involved the interaction between laser and metallic nano materials, a topic previously unexplored in the world of physics. Dr. Kim’s research yielded over 10 papers in SCI-level international scientific journals within five years, gaining recognition worldwide. He collaborated with prominent scientists from different countries, solidifying his reputation as an authority on advanced technology in his 20s and a world-famous scientist in his 30s.

Despite these achievements, Dr. Kim remains humble, consistently placing himself at the starting line to explore uncharted fields of physics. His dedication continues to bear fruit, with over 30 research papers contributed to SCI-level international scientific journals since 2020. Dr. Kim’s tireless efforts not only contribute to the economic development of the country but also enhance the quality of life for its people.
