The researchers at the Pyongyang Essential Oil Factory are immersed in the development of new products, demonstrating a strong commitment to creating essential oils that resonate with the tastes and emotions of people in Korea. Essential oils play a significant role in various consumer goods, including foodstuffs, soaps, and cosmetics.

In its pursuit of excellence, the factory produces a wide range of natural aromatic goods using locally abundant materials. A key focus for the factory has been to bolster its technical capabilities, enhancing the quality of its products. A notable achievement includes the self-manufactured equipment, developed in collaboration with a specialized unit, which accurately blends 40 to 50 different types of raw materials. This advancement is a step forward in elevating product quality.
The previous year, the factory introduced natural aromatic goods crafted using a novel essence technique. Essential oils derived from a variety of flowers, such as pine needles, peaches, and apricots, have gained popularity among production units.

Aligned with the directives of the Ninth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the factory is dedicated to improving the quality of consumer goods and basic foodstuffs in 2024. The factory has undertaken a research project to refine its natural essential oil extraction technique. The goal is to develop a greater variety of high-quality spices and essential oils using domestic resources.
The factory’s employees are driven by the belief that the products they create should exude a unique fragrance, indicative of their quality and origin. This commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of essential oil production is a testament to the factory’s dedication to meeting both national goals and consumer expectations.
