Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, toured various places of Singapore on June 11.
He was accompanied by Kim Yong Chol and Ri Su Yong, vice-chairmen of the Central Committee of the WPK, Ri Yong Ho, minister of Foreign Affairs, No Kwang Chol, minister of the People’s Armed Forces, and Kim Yo Jong, first vice department director of the C.C., WPK.
Kim Jong Un, the respected Supreme Leader of the party, the state and army of the DPRK, was guided by Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and Minister of Education Ong Ye Kung of Singapore.
Going round the Great Flower Garden, one of the prides of Singapore, Sky Park located on the roof of the world-famous Marina Bay Sands building and Singapore Port, he learned about the social and economic development of the Republic of Singapore.
Enjoying a nocturnal bird’s-eye view of the city on the observation platform of the Marina Bay Sands building, he said Singapore is clean and beautiful and every building is stylish as he heard of in the past, adding he is going to learn a lot from the good knowledge and experience of Singapore in various fields in the future.
On his way to Singapore Port, he was briefed on the future urban development plan of Singapore and the Durian Theater on the Jubilee Bridge.
He said that he could get to know well about the potentials and development of Singapore’s economy through that day’s tour, adding he came to have a good impression about the country.
He thanked the senior officials of Singapore’s government for accompanying him till late at night to kindly guide and brief him on the city.
