An art performance was given on Tuesday to welcome Moon Jae In, president of south Korea, on a visit to Pyongyang for the historic north-south summit.

Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and his wife Ri Sol Ju saw the performance together with President Moon Jae In and his wife.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and his wife Ri Sol Ju warmly greeted President Moon Jae In and his wife outside the Pyongyang Grand Theater.

Amid the playing of the prelude “Glad to See You”, an emcee appeared to inform the audience of the start of the performance.

Performers presented the numbers vividly reflecting the unanimous desire of all Koreans for national reunification and national flavor, including orchestral music for kayagum “Arirang”, male solo “Thinking of Fellow” and string ensemble and song “Morning Star”, through graceful melodies and smart dancing rhythms.

Songs popular among the south Korean people and world’s famous songs were also put on the stage.

The performers presented light music “Pyongyang Is Best” and music and dance “Dash toward Future” to further excite the audience.

The performance was greatly acclaimed by the audience.

A floral basket in the name of the south Korean president and his wife was presented to the performers.

The Supreme Leader mounted the stage with the south Korean president to congratulate the performers on their successful performance.

The president and his wife expressed deep thanks to them for their warm welcome and excellent performance.

Invited to enjoy the performance were Jong Ui Yong, chief of the State Security Office of Chongwadae, Jo Myong Gyun, minister of Unification, Kang Kyong Hwa, minister of Foreign Affairs, To Jong Hwan, minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, So Hun, director of the Intelligence Service, and other personages from the south side.

Ri Su Yong and Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairmen of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea; Kim Yo Jong, first vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK; Ri Son Gwon, chairman of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, officials and working people in Pyongyang saw the performance.
