The Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory in the DPRK is a model of food industry producing the national liquor.
It is associated with feats of the peerlessly great men.
Chairman Kim Jong Il initiated the construction of the factory, set its position and settled problems arising in its construction.
He visited the newly-built factory on September 29, Juche 98 (2009) to name it “Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory” and taste the liquor produced by it.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, translating the behests of the Chairman into reality, set Pyongyang Liquor produced by the factory as the national liquor in June 2015.
In an interview with KCNA, Jo Hyong Chol, manager of the factory, said:
Some days ago, the factory marked its 10th founding anniversary.
The factory put the production and management on an IT and scientific basis through a mass technological innovation movement to ensure the hygienic safety at a high level.
In particular, it introduced a new membrane filter into water purifying process to further raise the quality of beverage.
The production process of the factory won the food safety control system.
