To celebrate April, a month of great significance in the DPRK, youth camps across the country have opened for a new season of activities and learning.

The 2025 opening ceremony for the first session at the Songdowon International Children’s Camp took place on April 15. Attending the event were Pak Song Guk, Chief Secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Party Committee, along with officials from related sectors, camp staff, and children taking part in the program.

Participants paid tribute by laying flower baskets and bouquets at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il erected at the camp, showing their respect and gratitude.

At the same time, youth camps in other regions including the Phyohyon Children’s Camp in North Phyongan Province and the December 6 Children’s Camp in Kangwon Province – also began their seasonal programs.

These camps are designed to offer children educational experiences, cultural enrichment, and opportunities to build camaraderie in a vibrant and supportive environment.
