Officials and members of the Socialist Women’s Union of Korea staged a performance of wartime songs in the Rungna People’s Pleasure Park here on Tuesday to celebrate the 64th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
It was enjoyed by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice chairman of the C.C., WPK, officials concerned, officials and members of the women’s union.
The numbers of the performance included narration and chorus “Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung“, trio and chorus “Three Years of War”, chorus “Song of National Defence” and poem “Motherland”.
The performers sang high praises of the undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, who led the hard-fought Fatherland Liberation War and the struggle for defending socialism to brilliant victory and turned the DPRK into a world-level military power and a full-fledged nuclear weapons state and thus provided sure guarantee for eternal prosperity.
They also impressively represented the struggle and optimistic life of the Korean women who had heroically fought for the victory in the war at the front and rear.
