On February 4, students from across the country participating in the “Thousand-Mile Journey for Liberation” march visited the Popyeong Revolutionary Historic Site.

The participants toured the site, which is historically significant as part of Kim Il Sung’s journey during his early revolutionary activities.

At the Popyeong Revolutionary History Museum, they listened to explanations about Kim Il Sung’s early revolutionary efforts and viewed historical artifacts and documents.

They also visited the Popyeong Ferry, where Kim Il Sung is said to have crossed the Amnok River with a vow not to return until Korea gained independence. Other stops included the Monument of the Song of the Amnok River and the Popyeong Revolutionary Monument.

The visit aimed to help participants learn about this historical period and reflect on their role in the country’s future.
