Talks were held between Army General Kim Su Gil, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People’s Army (KPA), and Senior Vice Admiral Miao Hua, director of the political affairs department of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), in Pyongyang on Monday.

Present there from the DPRK side were Army Col. General Ri Tu Song and other KPA general officers and from the Chinese side the party of the director of the political affairs department of the PRC Central Military Commission, Zhang Chenggang, charge d’affaires ad interim, and the military, naval and air attache of the Chinese embassy here.

Kim Su Gil said that the DPRK-China friendship has been developed in depth thanks to Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea Kim Jong Un and General Secretary Xi Jinping.

Saying that defending the bilateral friendship is a noble duty of the armies of the two countries, he hoped that the Chinese People’s Liberation Army would realize its dream of a powerful army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Noting that he was pleased to visit the DPRK at a time when the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the DPRK and the 69th anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People’s Volunteers into the Korean front are marked, Miao Hua pointed out that the friendly relations between China and the DPRK sealed in blood are the valuable wealth common to the peoples of the two countries.

He expressed the stand of boosting the relations between the armies of the two countries as required by the new era in accordance with the spirit of the agreement reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries.
