About 900 people from south Korea shaved their heads to protest against the decision of placing US THAAD missle system in their country.
The protest took place on Monday in Songju City at the site of the placement.
According to the Reuters Agency one of the protesters, 63 year-old farmer told: “THAAD should not be deployed at all, not just in Songju, but anywhere in south Korea”, “We – residents gathered here and shaved our heads to demonstrate against its deployment.”
Protest leader Kim An-Soo told: “This is the most powerful way of displaying protest… We cannot protest any bigger”
This is not the first protest, which took place denouncing US agresion against the DPRK.
Also, a lot of foreign experts warned about consequences to be entailed by the U.S. deployment of THAAD in south Korea. But the U.S. is working hard to deploy THAAD in south Korea, despite opposition of the south Korean people and international community.
The struggle against THAAD goes on.
