On the occasion of the 83rd anniversary of the birth of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il, senior officials of the Party and government visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on February 16 to pay their highest respects.
Among those in attendance were Pak Tae Song, Jo Yong Won, and Choe Ryong Hae, all members of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), as well as other Party and government officials, cadres from the WPK Central Committee, senior officials from ministries and central institutions, and personnel from military institutions.
The Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il rest in eternal state, was enveloped in a solemn atmosphere.
Wreaths of flowers were laid before the statues of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the name of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
All participants looked up at the statues of the great leaders with deep respect.
The attendees then visited the halls of eternal life, where the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il rest in state, and solemnly paid their highest respects with the utmost reverence.
All participants reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, pledging to steadfastly uphold his ideology and leadership. They vowed to stand at the forefront of the glorious struggle to implement the grand revolutionary program put forward by the 8th Congress of the Party, fulfilling the heavy responsibilities entrusted to them by the Party and the people. They resolved to continuously glorify a new era of comprehensive national development.
