New regional-industry factories have been established in Unsan County, North Phyongan Province, as part of efforts to strengthen local economies and improve residents’ quality of life.

The factories, built in the mountainous region, aim to support regional economic growth and provide essential goods for the local population.

An inauguration ceremony took place on February 7, attended by officials from North Phyongan Province and Unsan County, construction personnel, and local residents.

Kim Chol Sam, chief secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, delivered a speech highlighting the significance of regional industrial development. He emphasized the importance of efficient operation and product quality to ensure these factories contribute to the well-being of local communities.

Sin Myong Son, chief secretary of the Unsan County Party Committee, expressed his commitment to fostering economic growth and improving living conditions in Unsan County.

Following the speeches, factory representatives cut the ribbon to mark the official opening. Attendees toured the new facilities, observing their setup and capabilities. The event concluded with cultural performances and a fireworks display.

These new factories are expected to play a key role in local development, offering employment opportunities and supporting economic sustainability in the region.
