There opened in Kim Il Sung Square on Saturday the Pyongyang Ice Sculpture Festival-2017 in celebration of the New Year.

On display in the festival venue are scores of ice sculptures made by the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, Ministry of Public Health, General Bureau of Public Service, Mansudae Art Studio, Pyongyang City People’s Committee and other units.

Those ice sculptures depicting Mt. Paektu, leader Kim Jong Il‘s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp, and the Arch of Triumph impressively show the army and people’s yearning and reverence for President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

There are also sculptures on the theme of the self-development-first spirit and those vividly showing the reality of Juche Korea.

Officials of ministries and national institutions, working people school youth and children in Pyongyang went round the venue. The festival continues.
