Workers and union members had a poem-reciting and singing meeting at the Central Hall of Workers on Friday in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victorious battle of Pochonbo. The event began with poem and chorus “Long Epic ‘Mt Paektu'” and “Forest Is Swaying”.

Through male solo “Glorious Place, Pochonbo”, female solo “Arirang Sung on Jiansanfeng” and other numbers, the performers sang loudly of the feats of President Kim Il Sung who kindled the flames of victory in Pochonbo to make a breach in the Japanese imperialist colonial rule and encourage broad masses of people to the anti-Japanese sacred war.

The participants recalled again the revolutionary career and great personality of the President who accomplished the historic cause of national liberation by crushing the Japanese imperialist aggressors through bloody battles.
