The Workers’ Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) gave a performance “Song Dedicated to Mother Party” at the Central Hall of Workers on October 7 to celebrate the 76th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
Among the audience were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, trade union officials, workers and trade union members in Pyongyang City.
Put on the stage of the performance, which began with narration “Glory to Our Great Party,” were such numbers as male solo “We Have the Great Party” and female solo “I Will Live like a Star Following Party.”
The performers praised the leadership exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in party-building.
Also put on the stage were numbers recalling that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is the people’s benevolent father who dedicates himself to their wellbeing through his ceaseless journey.
Other numbers reflected the gratitude toward and trust in the great Party, which projects the workers as the eldest sons of the country and wisely leads them, and represented the faith of the working class to accelerate the grand march of self-reliance with the fighting spirit and traits displayed by the heroes of the preceding generations.
