Premier Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, inspected co-op farms in Ongjin County of South Hwanghae Province.

At the Jangsong and Raengjong Co-op Farms, he stressed the need to fundamentally improve the work style and manner of officials and attain the goal of grain production for this year without fail by raising the rate of mechanization in the farm work.

The field consultative meetings discussed issues of widely introducing the advanced farming methods and technologies suited to the climatic conditions of relevant areas, accurately enforcing a field-responsibility-system within the framework of the subworkteam management system to enhance the zeal of farmers for production and accelerating the repair and readjustment of pumping equipment for smooth farming.

The premier also inspected the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex and the Pyongyang Tannery.
