Youth and students from across the country had an oath-taking meeting on the top of Mt Paektu Saturday.

Led by Jon Yong Nam, first secretary of the C.C., the youth league, they made up their minds to steadfastly carry forward the lineage of Paektu, the lifeblood of Juche.

They pledged to hold in high esteem President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il as the everlasting image of the great Paektusan nation and firmly defend their revolutionary ideas and leadership feats and add luster to them for all ages.

They also vowed to be persons of ideology and faith who vigorously struggle for the final victory with the faith that they do not know nobody but respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

They expressed the resolve to be youth heroes of the Mallima era by working fresh heroic feats one after another in the drive to implement the highly important tasks set forth at the 7th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Ri Sang Won, chairman of the Ryanggang Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and members of the study tour group.
