The people of the country celebrated the most significant national holiday of February with a variety of events and commemorations held throughout the nation.
From early in the day, citizens visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il rest in eternal state, as well as statues and murals dedicated to them across the country. Floral tributes were laid, and moments of reflection were observed in honor of their contributions.

Similar events took place in provinces including South Pyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, Kangwon, South Hamgyong, and the city of Nampho, with local artists and performers engaging audiences in a variety of concerts, plays, and musical showcases.
Across the country, restaurants and food service providers offered special holiday meals, while public spaces such as the Central Zoo and Natural History Museum were filled with families and workers enjoying their holiday. Laughter and joy echoed through these places as people gathered to celebrate.
