The people of the country celebrated the most significant national holiday of February with a variety of events and commemorations held throughout the nation.
From early in the day, citizens visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il rest in eternal state, as well as statues and murals dedicated to them across the country. Floral tributes were laid, and moments of reflection were observed in honor of their contributions.
In Pyongyang and other cities, photo exhibitions were held, allowing attendees to reflect on historical milestones. Flags, banners, and festive decorations adorned public squares, government buildings, factories, and farms, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
A wide range of performances took place to mark the occasion, showcasing the country’s cultural heritage and artistic talent:

- The Mansudae Art Troupe presented a mixed music and dance performance at East Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

- Artists and performers from central institutions and cultural organizations delivered musical performances at venues such as the People’s Cultural Palace, Pyongyang Grand Theatre, and the Youth Central Hall.
Outdoor performances were also held at major landmarks, including the Party Founding Monument and Pyongyang Station, featuring traditional music, dance, and songs.
Similar events took place in provinces including South Pyongan, North Hwanghae, Jagang, Kangwon, South Hamgyong, and the city of Nampho, with local artists and performers engaging audiences in a variety of concerts, plays, and musical showcases.
Across the country, restaurants and food service providers offered special holiday meals, while public spaces such as the Central Zoo and Natural History Museum were filled with families and workers enjoying their holiday. Laughter and joy echoed through these places as people gathered to celebrate.
The festivities, blending cultural, artistic, and recreational activities, reflected a spirit of unity and optimism as the people marked this important occasion together.
