A national software contest of university students took place at Kim Chaek University of Technology from Sept. 21 to 25 on the occasion of its 70th founding anniversary.
Taking part in the contest were more than 200 students, selected from 60-odd universities including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology and Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, divided into 68 groups.
Presented in the contest were problems requiring multifarious and wide-ranging knowledge of mathematics, computer, etc. and the capacity of designing algorithm and programming.
Highly appreciated were Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the University of Sciences, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Huichon University of Technology, etc.
Attending the closing ceremony held on Tuesday were Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, Hong So Hon, president of Kim Chaek University of Technology, officials concerned, teachers and students.
