A grand music and dance performance was held at the April 25 House of Culture on February 8 to celebrate the 77th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).

Attending the event were officials from the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, service personnel, and model citizens of Pyongyang who have set an example in their dedication to aiding the army.

The stage was graced by art troupes of the KPA, along with artistes and students from art education institutions, delivering a stirring and patriotic program.

The performance featured powerful preludes, including “Look at Us” and “Song of the Korean People’s Army”, followed by a female trio’s moving rendition of “The Country I Am Defending”. The audience was further captivated by the instrumental and vocal performance of “Our Trench” and the narrative poem “For the Country and the People”.

Through their passionate performances, the artists praised the ever-victorious might of the KPA, which has grown into an unrivaled army and patriotic vanguard dedicated to safeguarding the nation.

The finale brought the performance to a triumphant close with “My Powerful Motherland” and “7th Regiment Is in the Van of Us Today, Too”, leaving the audience uplifted and inspired.
