More remains of martyrs, who devoted their lives to the country’s prosperity and national reunification, were buried at the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery in Sinmi-ri.
Among them are Pyon Yong Rip, former secretary general of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly; Ri Won Gyong, former researcher of the Finance College of Kim Il SungUniversity; Kim Jong Nam, former researcher of the Korea General Red Cross Hospital; Ho Jong Ho, former researcher of the Academy of Social Sciences, Kim Ryong Jo, former actor of the Korean People’s Army April 25 Film Studio; and Kwon Tong Yon, former general of the Korean People’s Internal Security Forces.
Ceremonies of burying their remains took place at the cemetery on Thursday.
Attending them were officials concerned and bereaved families.
The participants laid wreaths and bouquets at the graves of those martyrs and observed a moment’s silence in memory of them.
