The people of Usi County in Jagang Province, DPRK, celebrated the opening of new regional-industry factories on January 25, marking a significant step in local development.

The factories, part of a broader initiative to enhance regional industries, aim to improve living standards and create new opportunities for the residents of this mountainous area.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by local officials, workers, soldier-builders, and factory employees. Speakers at the event highlighted the importance of these factories in fostering regional growth and providing modern facilities to support the community.

Pak Song Chol, chief secretary of the provincial Party committee, acknowledged the collaborative efforts behind the project and emphasized the role of local industries in improving the lives of the county’s residents.

Kang Myong Song, chief secretary of the Usi County Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, expressed hope that these factories would become a cornerstone of the county’s development and a model for other regions.

The event featured fireworks, balloons, and performances, creating a festive atmosphere. Residents toured the new facilities, which are designed to prioritize modern functionality and efficiency.
