Nestled at the base of the picturesque Mt. Ryongak in Pyongyang, Mangyongdae Children’s Camp, celebrated its founding anniversary on May 12th, a milestone dating back to 1957.

This camp stands as a testimony to the visionary care of Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and was named by Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, who designated its founding date.

Under the paternal guidance of the esteemed Marshal Kim Jong Un, the camp underwent a comprehensive renovation, tailored to meet the demands of the new century. He personally oversaw the reconstruction plans and addressed every challenge encountered during the process.

Thanks to his meticulous direction, the camp has been transformed into a splendid haven, equipped with modern amenities essential for the well-being of schoolchildren. These include state-of-the-art cabins, a spacious dining hall, a vibrant playground for folk games, a zoo, boating facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and a basketball court.

During his visit to the revamped camp, Kim Jong Un expressed profound satisfaction and extended further gestures of kindness towards the children.

Subsequently, to complement the surrounding scenery, a new water slide was added to the outdoor swimming pool. Additionally, roofing was installed along the walking path from the cabins to the dining hall, and various amusement facilities tailored for children were introduced.

The Mangyongdae Children’s Camp stands as a beacon of joy for children, nurturing their beautiful dreams and aspirations, thus securing the bright future of Korean nation.
