The Kumyagang Army-People Power Station was successfully built in the area of the East Sea of Korea. An inaugural ceremony took place on August 3.
Present there were O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, officials concerned, service personnel, builders and employees of the power station.
The inauguration of the power station brought about progress in power supply, one of the preconditions for carrying out the five-year strategy for national economy development, and made it possible to increase agricultural production by preventing flood and satisfactorily supplying irrigation water in the area of the River Kumya.
