Servicepersons and civilians across the country visited the statues of the great leaders and their smiling portraits to pay tribute to them.
Art performances were given in Pyongyang and provinces to rev up the festive atmosphere.
There were schoolchildren’s folk plays at Kim Il Sung Square and other parts of Pyongyang and in Hamhung and Kaesong Cities.
Catering service facilities in Pyongyang and others in provinces were full of guests who came to enjoy New Year’s Day.
