The army and people of the DPRK mourned leader Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of his demise.

On the greatest memorial day of the nation, many servicepersons and civilians visited the plaza of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche, to pay tribute to the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

Servicepersons, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children paid homage to the statues of the great leaders and their smiling portraits across the country including the statues on Mansu Hill.

A remembrance concert “The General Is Immortal as the Sun” was given at the Moranbong Theater by the National Symphony Orchestra.

Similar concerts were also hosted in different parts of the country including North and South Phyongan, Jagang, North Hamgyong, Kangwon and Ryanggang provinces.

Working people’s organizations across the country held oath-taking meetings.
