Kim Kwang Suk, celebrated vocal music instructor and former member of Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble Band, passed Away at 55.
The passing of Kim Kwang Suk, a beloved People’s Artiste and vocal music instructor at the Pyongyang Schoolchildren’s Palace, has brought deep sorrow to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un sent a wreath to her bier to express his heartfelt condolences.
Kim Kwang Suk (Korean name: 김광숙) was widely known for her exceptional performances as a former singer of the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble Band. Her repertoire included popular songs such as “What Is Life?”, “The Dear Name Kim Jong Il”, “My Dear Is A Hero Now“, “Where Are You, Dear General?“, “Fruit Trees Planted On Hills“. Her legacy will continue to inspire future generations of musicians and performers in the DPRK.
