Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, member of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected several units in the field of national economy.
After learning in detail about the production at the Pyongyang Automation Appliances Factory and the Ryongsong Bearing Factory, Kim Jae Ryong referred to the issue of establishing a management control system in which the production will be steered by science, technology and knowledge and the issue of turning the production and technical management processes into development- and creation-oriented ones.
Making a round of the Pyongyang Rubber Factory, he called for positively introducing modern science and technology to hasten technical updating and increase the proportion of locally available raw and other materials in production and pushing ahead with the development of new products.
When inspecting the Jangsan Mine and the Pyongyang Grindstone Factory, he discussed such issues as taking measures for safe power supply, lowering production cost to the minimum by converting production processes into energy- and labor-saving ones and raising the quality of products by strictly fulfilling the scientific and technical requirements for quality indices.
The field consultative meetings took measures for thoroughly carrying out the Party’s economic policy by realizing the integration of science and technology into production, decisively improving the methods of management control and strengthening the cooperation among relevant units.
