A new system for analyzing information on pisciculture resources is being introduced into the fish-farming field in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

According to Kim Min Chol, section chief of the Academy of Fishery Science, the system is great helpful to ensuring the propagation of freshwater fishes and their protection and production on a scientific basis throughout the country.

It helps generalize the distribution zones of 30-odd species of fishes for pisciculture, over 20 species of special and precious natural fishes and other freshwater fishes and the amount of resources in the zones and thus put the fish farming on a scientific, IT and planning basis.

The superiority of the system ensuring the promptness and economic efficiency in fish farming has been already proven in practice.
