A meeting took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on Tuesday to mark the 20th founding anniversary of the International Martial Arts Games Committee (IMAGC).

Attending there were Im Chol Ung, vice-premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), Ri Yong Son, chairman of the IMAGC and president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, members of the Executive Board Meeting of the IMAGC and other members and martial art delegates from different countries.

Im Chol Ung made a congratulatory speech.

He congratulated persons of martial arts on the 20th founding anniversary of the IMAGC on behalf of the government of the DPRK and said that since its foundation the IMAGC has made a proud history of the world martial arts for the building of a new peaceful world in the idea of friendship, cooperation and development.

Then Chairman Ri Yong Son, Vice-Chairman Leong Wai Meng, Rajendran Balan, president of the Indian National Martial Art Games Federation, and Jonathan Makiling, president of the International Jendo Federation, made speeches.

Speakers referred to the founding of the IMAGC, successes in the efforts for consolidating its organizational foundation and international martial arts games held as world games for 20 years.

At the meeting certifications were conferred on representatives from martial art organizations of Greece and UK newly acceded as national martial art organizations of the IMAGC.
