The “Flower Festival 2025” opened at the Pyongyang Children’s Department Store to coincide with one of April’s national holidays.
Held under the theme “Bright Spring, Beautiful Life,” the exhibition brings together participants from across the country, including floriculture research centers, production units, institutions, companies, and individual flower enthusiasts.
The festival venue showcases a vibrant display of ornamental plants, artistic floral arrangements, and decorative sculptures made using flowers and gardening materials. Over 200 organizations and private individuals from around the DPRK have submitted various floral displays, products made from flowers, and gardening tools used in the horticulture sector.
The opening ceremony was held on April 13, attended by event participants, workers from Pyongyang, and officials from related sectors.
During the ceremony, a speaker emphasized that the festival not only adds to the joyful atmosphere of April celebrations but also aims to raise public interest in floriculture and contribute to making the country a more beautiful and vibrant place to live.
After the ceremony, attendees toured the venue to view the exhibits.
Throughout the festival period, there will also be experience-sharing sessions, technical exchanges, and community services involving flowers and gardening.
