In honor of the 83rd birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il, officials, workers, members of the Korean People’s Army (KPA), and students across the country paid tribute by laying floral wreaths and bouquets at the statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
At Mansu Hill, where the towering statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il stand, floral tributes were placed on behalf of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the government, the military, public organizations, ministries, and central institutions. Wreaths were also laid in the name of the KPA, Social Security Forces, various institutions, enterprises, factories, and universities in Pyongyang.
Gathered crowds bowed respectfully, reflecting on the revolutionary lives of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and their leadership.
Similar tributes were held at other notable sites in Pyongyang, including Kim Il Sung University and the Mansudae Art Studio, with floral offerings made by representatives from the military, institutions, and businesses.
Across the country, officials, workers, soldiers, and students also visited statues in their local regions, expressing their respect and admiration for the two leaders.
