A fine art exhibition was opened with due ceremony at the Korean Art Gallery on Tuesday to mark the 70th founding anniversary of Pyongyang University of Fine Arts.
On display at the exhibition are an oil painting “The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung giving field guidance to the exhibition of Pyongyang University of Fine Arts”, Korean painting “The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il seeing fine art pieces created by Pyongyang University of Fine Arts” and oil painting “Visiting the ward of orphans” representing the undying leadership exploits and noble traits of the peerlessly great persons of Mt Paektu.
There are typical printed art pieces, highly appreciated by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and guided by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Presented to it are also more than 600 art pieces and paintings of study created by teachers and students at the university.
Attending the opening ceremony were Minister of Culture Pak Chun Nam, officials concerned, teachers, researchers and students of the university, and artists of fine art studios in the city.
