In celebration of the 113th anniversary of the birth of the Great Leader President Kim Il Sung, a grand artistic performance titled “Let the Song of Happiness Ring Louder” was held on April 14 at the Youth Park Open-Air Theatre in Pyongyang. The performance featured talented students and youth from the Pyongyang Students and Children’s Palace.
Attending the event were Kim Jong Sun, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, along with officials, youth league members, students from Mangyongdae and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary Schools, and many schoolchildren from Pyongyang.
The event opened with a segment titled “An Eternal April Festival with Our Respected Leader”, reflecting the deep respect and admiration for President Kim Il Sung, who is remembered for his lifelong devotion to the well-being and future of the younger generations in the DPRK.
The performers expressed the joy and dreams of the nation’s children through a vibrant lineup of musical and dance acts, celebrating this symbolic day of happiness.
Highlights included a group folk song performance “Our Father is the Best”, praising the country’s current leader Marshal Kim Jong Un, and a heartfelt solo and dance number titled “Longing to See the Marshal”, which were especially well-received by the audience.
The performance vividly showcased the energy and enthusiasm of the DPRK’s youth as they prepare to take on their future roles in society with strength and pride.
