A ceremony recognizing the top ten educators of 2024 was held on February 26 at the People’s Cultural Palace in Pyongyang.

The event was attended by Vice Premier Jon Sung Guk (전승국), Minister of Education Kim Sung Du (김승두), and various officials and teachers from the education sector in Pyongyang.

During the ceremony, Vice Premier Jon Sung Guk delivered a speech highlighting the dedication and achievements of the honored educators. The awards were presented to Bae Eun Hui (배은희) from Kim Sung Ju Primary School, Kim In Ok (김인옥) from the Kim Hyong Jik University of Education-affiliated Ryongra Senior Middle School in Taedonggang District, Kim Sung Bok (김승복) from the Pyongseong Teachers’ University-affiliated Deoksong Primary School, Ri Young Hui (리영희) from Kusong No.1 Middle School, Ro Myong Ju (로명주) from Sariwon Orphanage, Ko Ryong Taek (고룡택) from Osang Senior Middle School in Yonggwang County, An Chang Hyun (안창현) from Sohae Senior Middle School in Wawudo District, Yun So Kwang (윤서광) from Kaesong No.1 Middle School, Kung Jong Sik (궁정식) from Pyongseong Teachers’ University, and Ryu Sun Ok (류순옥), a department head at Sariwon Teachers’ University.

These individuals were recognized for their outstanding commitment to education, their strong sense of responsibility, and their ability to nurture future generations. Their efforts have contributed to enhancing the quality of education and ensuring that students receive the knowledge and guidance necessary for their development.
