Big efforts have been directed to making dishes with potato farina produced by the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The recent exhibition, competition and festival in the field of public catering establishments show that staple food, dishes, sweet food and drinks can be made with potato farina.

On display at the potato farina food exhibition sponsored by the General Bureau of Public Catering Service were more than 450 kinds of dishes including boiled rice mixed with potato farina and potato farina noodle.

Various potato farina dishes presented by the Changgwang Public Service Management Bureau and Kaesong Janamsan Hotel were highly appreciated at the Ninth Cooking Competition to Mark the Day of the Shining Star.

And multimedia showing the processing methods on 120-odd potato farina dishes caught the eyes of visitors at the 24th Cooking Festival to Mark the Day of the Sun.

Meanwhile, media introduces nutritive value of potato farina and dishes made of it.
