As the Korean Nation’s most solemn April holiday day came, camping for schoolchildren has begun at the Songdowon International Children’s Camp.
The camping kickoff meeting held on the 15th was attended by Baek Song Guk, responsible secretary of the Gangwon Provincial Committee, Ju Mun Ji, chairman of the Gangwon Provincial People’s Committee, relevant officials, camp staff, faculty members, and campers.
Participants first paid their respects to the great leader President Kim Il-sung and the great leader Kim Jong-il by placing flower baskets at their statues in the camp and offering their homage.
Following the signal horn announcing the start of camping, the “Songdowon March” played, marking the beginning of the camping activities.
During the meeting, speakers and discussants mentioned that through camping activities, all student boys would strengthen both their bodies and minds, firmly establish the knowledge they learned in school, and grow up to be competent talents leading the future of the country.
