An art performance “Song to Great Mother Party” was given at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre Tuesday, the 72nd founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Presidium member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, and other senior party, state and army officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the party and armed forces organs, working people’s organizations, ministries, national institutions and those of organizations and industrial establishments in Pyongyang and labor innovators and overseas Koreans.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations and military attaches of foreign embassies here and their spouses and other foreign guests.

Put on the stage were choruses “Mother’s Birthday” and “Long Live Workers’ Party of Korea”, mixed quartet “We Sing of the Party” and other colorful numbers.

The performers represented the greatness of the WPK which has brought up all the people as masters of the revolution and creators of merits, recording only victory and glory for over 70 years.

Jangsaenap duet and kayagum ensemble “Sea of Apples at Foot of Chol Pass” and other numbers reflecting the Korean people’s enthusiasm and optimism of building a socialist paradise for the people by their own efforts revved up the atmosphere of the performance.

In the female sextet and chorus “We Cannot Live without You” and chorus “Song of Advance of Socialism” the performers sang highly of the strong spirit and will of the army and people of the DPRK dynamically advancing toward the final victory of the socialist cause while sharing their destiny with the WPK.
