The 20th Kimilsungia Festival closed on Thursday with due ceremony at the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition. The festival was opened on April 12 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Present at the closing ceremony were Pak Kwang Ho, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, officials of the festival organizing committee, ministries, national institutions and armed forces organs, festival participants, members of the societies for supporting the dissemination of the immortal flowers, a congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan and overseas compatriots and foreigners.
The festival diploma was awarded to a large number of units highly estimated at the festival and to the active participants including cultivators and lecturers and the participation certificate to individuals.
The diploma was also conferred on the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and overseas compatriots, the Indonesian embassy and foreigners.
