One cannot help but marvel at the breathtaking sight of Mt. Kuwol, a renowned scenic location on the west coast. Atop Sahwang Peak, the highest point of the mountain, white clouds seem to cascade down the slopes like waves crashing upon the cliffs.

Since ancient times, Mt. Kuwol has been renowned for its unique natural beauty, characterized by rolling hills and deep valleys. In these valleys, pure water flows and creates misty waterfalls, like Ryongyon and Samhyongje Falls, and colorful ponds. The mountain, a typical forested area in the west of South Hwanghae Province, is densely populated with tens of species of trees, including pines, oaks, chestnuts, and maples.

At the foot of the mountain, various flowers bloom, while chestnuts, dates, persimmons, and wild persimmons ripen in autumn. With its rich variety of plant resources, Mt. Kuwol has been designated as a natural park. The white clouds that embrace this mountain add to its already abundant charm. The unique view of the mountain creates a stronger attachment to the beauty of our country.
