As in the DPRK, hydro-power stations play a big role in power production, electric-power production is on the steady increase at these stations.
According to data available at the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, hydro-power stations across the country have fulfilled their production quotas over 107% on a daily average in the on-going 200-day campaign.
Leading in power production stations are: Thaechon, Hochongang, Jangjingang, Jangjagang, Kanggye Youth, Sodusu and Taedonggang.
