The 15th Pyongyang International Film Festival closed with due ceremony at the Central Youth Hall on Friday.
Present at the ceremony were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly, Vice-Premier Ri Ryong Nam, Pak Chun Nam, minister of Culture who is chairman of the organizing committee of the festival, Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People’s Committee, Kim In Bom, vice-minister of Culture and concurrently director of the Film General Bureau, and officials concerned. Also present were delegations and delegates participating in the festival and members of the international jury.
Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations here and their spouses, military attaches and officials in charge of cultural relations of foreign embassies here and other foreign guests.
Introduced at the ceremony were films presented to the festival.
The jury announced the results and prizes were awarded.
A letter to supreme leader Kim Jong Un presented by the participants in the festival was adopted at the ceremony.
Pak Chun Nam made a closing address.
