The floating restaurant “Taedonggang” frequented by people is on the River Taedong in Pyongyang, the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
The ship built well in harmony with the beautiful surroundings of the River Taedong always has many clients.
The ship which can accommodate 300 clients at a time is a public catering centre with several dining rooms, a banquet hall, a shop and others.
There is a snug dining room on the first deck of the ship.
Dining tables are placed at the sunlit windows and the floor and the ceiling have been decorated with bright and fresh colors.
Several matched dining rooms are arranged on the second deck.
There are also dining tables for guests in the stern past the banquet hall where many clients can dine together.
Clients enjoy the beautiful view of the capital city in cool breeze of the river.
Such happiness people enjoy has been provided by Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.
Kim Jong Un took measures to build an excursion ship specialized in catering service on the scenic River Taedong for the Korean people to enjoy the highest civilization on the highest level.
He came out to look round the ship under construction in March Juche 102(2013). Going round different parts of the ship, he paid deep attention even to ventilation of the dining rooms as well as the use of good finishing building materials and installation of fine furniture.
Afterwards, too, he gave specific instructions on the management system of the floating restaurant, the variety of foods and beverages to be served to the people, and measures to ensure facilities and raw materials for them.
As a result, the floating restaurant “Taedonggang” has been built into a good public service base frequented by people.
