Last August the sportspersons’ lodging quarters were newly set up in the sports village on Chongchun Street which is home to sports facilities such as a stadium and gymnasiums.
The 15-storeyed building with a total floor space of over 11 800 square meters is located between the gymnasiums for light sports and table tennis.
With an accommodation capacity of nearly 400 persons the building has bedrooms, barber’s, beauty salon, soft drink bars, rooms for playing such Korean folk games as janggi, paduk and yut, and table tennis, and other conditions for leisure and cultural activities of sportspersons.
It also houses an e-library where they enjoy reading and gain an easy access to modern sports science and technology in specialist sectors. The lodging quarters will provide the sportspeople with more convenience in life and encourage them to achieve further success, say the management staff of the quarters.
