The jubilant and festive mood pervades the whole DPRK on the occasion of the New Year Juche 107 (2018).
Seen in every part of the country are the flags of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK, posters and decorations felicitating the New Year.
From the early morning of New Year’s Day, many people have visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il with floral baskets and flowers.
And parks, pleasure grounds and centers for cultural and leisure activities are crowed with citizens and school youth and children.
The famous restaurants across the country serve traditional and special dishes including sturgeon dish, sinsollo and roe steak.
All the people are full of the pride of being victors and the faith and optimism for the future.
Ri Sun Mi, a weaver of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, told KCNA at Kim Il Sung Square:
I was deeply moved when receiving respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un‘s New Year Address in which he wishes all the families across the country good health, happiness, success and prosperity and also wishes that the beautiful dreams of all the people, including the hopes of the children in the New Year, would come true.
It is my firm determination to always remain loyal to the leadership of our Marshal Kim Jong Un who warmly calls us the great people.
